Greg Pug FINALLY conquered the ocean!

Last Thursday we woke up and were hankering for a beach trip. We live in a suburb about 20 minutes away from the beach, on the Gold Coast, and we definitely don't take advantage of it enough!

So we packed up the car and put the Puppia on the pug and off we went!

Now Greg has been to the beach a handful of times since we've owned him...the VERY first time probably didn't go down so well...Luke thought it would be a good idea to -DROP- Greg in the water as he thought this would teach him to learn to love it...hmmm, I was unsure of Luke's theory but eventually agreed to let him try it. A decision I immediately regretted as I watched my fur baby plonk into the ocean then scramble out with the most terrified look on his face....needless to say every trip to the beach since then Greg has kept a good 50 metres away from the ocean and us!

This was the actual moment from that terrifying first ordeal!
So this particular trip to the beach on Thursday I was expecting the same reaction from my little guy! We'd get to the beach and let Greggy off his lead, Luke and I would walk down to the water and greg would stay up top on the soft sand chasing people who he believed would be more trustworthy parents!

But to our surprise he decided to walk with us, and slowly let his little paws get a bit wet as the waves rolled in...next thing I new the waves were rushing over his head! He would quickly bound out back onto the safe sand but it wasn't long before he'd get his daredevil pants back on and run straight back in...so naturally we had to document this exciting moment in pug parent life! And we caught our little dude conquering the ocean for the first time! YOU GO GREG COCO! :P

Coraline - An easy and creepy Halloween costume!

Hey lovelies!

You may have noticed I've amped up the amount of Halloween costume tutorials I've done lately...this is because...DUH!...Halloween is nearly here!!! I get so excited at this time of year and probably spend way more money on costume options then I should (oops!). But this creepy Coraline costume that I've created is a great one to do if you're on a budget!

So I purchased the short blue wig on eBay for around $4 from Hong Kong and it arrived quite quickly, but I would recommend ordering it at least a month before Halloween.

The only other product I used that you may not having lying around is the black face paint. You can find face paint quite cheap in a lot of craft shops, just make sure it's non toxic!

And the rest of the products I used are general makeup products that most people will have, but I have listed all of them down below.

PRODUCTS USED:

Napoleon Perdis - Peep Show Black Mascara
Face of Australia - Black Gel Eyeliner
Face of Australia - Black Pencil Liner
Shanghai Suzy - Baby Coral Lipstick
Makeup & Glow - Bouquet Lip Liner
Gorgeous Cosmetics - Skinny Dip Lip Liner
Rimmel London - Smokey Noir Black Eyeshadow
Lime Crime - Lunar Sea Liquid Eyeliner

Cowabunga Dudes!!! Michelangelo TMNT Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Lipstick!

Cowabunga Dudes!

I got a little bit excited about the release of the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie which is coming out this week (here in Australia).

And it gave me a little inspiration to try out a TMNT look on my lips!

So off I set to find a green lipstick! Now I did firstly look to my trusty favourite - LimeCrime, but unfortunately the beautiful green colour they do offer was just WAY to dark for this style. Then I remembered that NYX had just released a new Macaroon lippy range and I was sure I recalled seeing a bright green...alas! I found a girl selling them on eBay for $12 and so I quickly ordered the "Key Lime" green Lipstick :)

As soon as I received it, I got straight into the studio and started filming...and this is what I came up with for my TMNT lipstick look:

Now I had earlier asked Luke which turtle was his favourite and after her replied "Cowabunga, Dude! Michelangelo, Duh!!" I decided to do the lipstick inspired by Michelangelo (the orange turtle). But as I have shown in the above picture, you can do any of the turtles you like, just by switching up the bandana colour!

Check out the lipstick tutorial video below.
